Bernhard we have found your movie. The movie you are thinking of is not called The Descendant its called Bleeders and also goes by the title Hemoglobin in the UK. A man with a rare disease goes to a island to find some of his descendants to see if that may help in finding a cure. Well his descendants are actually little mutant incest creatures who ravage the island. Rudger Hauer plays a doctor who trys to help the guy. Well I hope this is the right movie, there is a movie called the Descendant but it has yet to be released on video or dvd (as far as I know Rudger Hauer isnt in it), and im pretty sure your talking about this movie.
